During my time with the TEFL academy, I have experienced an enormous amount of knowledge and diversity, TEFL provide excellent resources and hands on experience as they provide an extensive 20 hour in-class practical and 100 online hours of lesson plans for all ages and levels, in my time with TEFL i found them well-structured and highly experienced in providing potential EFL teachers with a wealth of knowledge before they decide to become teachers.

I can honestly say that the 120 hour TEFL course has been of massive help to me as I was able to secure a EFL job in China and without this course I would not been able to secure this position so I am forever grateful to the TEFL academy. I suggest anyone who wants to teach English abroad they should book a place with the TEFL academy because they will be given a hands on approach to teaching english abroad with a wealth of extremely useful course content online. I would highly recommend this course to potential EFL teachers as they will secure a job just as I did.

I was told about the TEFL Academy by one of my friend while I was working in the UK in late August this year. It took me literally two days to enroll in the course and booked the classroom course.

Just before enrolling I exchanged a couple of e-mails with them and I must admit they always got to me so quickly answering all my questions and doubts about the classroom and online course.

The 20-hour weekend course was held in Ashford and out tutor was brilliant. I learned a lot from him and from my colleagues, since some of them had experience in teaching.

The online course was absolutely useful as it covered all the points an EFL teacher needs in order to get started his career. The assignments were clearly explained and I found the feedback from the online tutors to be reasonable and useful.

I am so satisfied that I’d surely recommend The TEFL Academy to anyone.

I really would recommend The TEFL Academy to anyone looking to learn how to teach English as a foreign language in a fun yet professional way.

The 20hr classroom element of the course was something that really appealed to me and was the reason I chose to complete my course with The TEFL Academy, setting itself apart from so many other TEFL course providers which offer the full 120hr course solely online. The 20hr weekend tutor was extremely knowledgable and shared her own experiences and advice of teaching English abroad. There was also great opportunity throughout the 20hr intensive weekend to practice different teaching methods among peers which really helped build confidence for when teaching in front of a class.

The 100hr online section of the course was really informative and detailed and gave lots of insight to the different elements of teaching. There was chance for lots of lesson planning practice and the tutors gave extensive, constructive feedback which was really useful.

I completed the course within 6months at a relaxed pace and cannot wait to start my first TEFL role in Thailand this month. Thanks to The TEFL Academy for their help and support.

TEFL is able to offer you an internationally recognized English teaching qualification, this is a rare chance for people to travel around the world and get paid for teaching English as a foreign language. Not only will you enjoy the experiences of travelling, but you will be helping students with language skills and playing an important role in their future.

The entire TEFL experience was amazing. Booking the course was easy and clear in instructions and for what you get, the price is amazing as well. The class was well set and the teacher was very warm, approachable, welcoming and funny, which made all the difference when you spend a day in class.

The 20hours in class are a great foundation not only for the online part, but it also prepares you for actual teaching work once you finish the course.

You don’t only learn how to effectively plan a lesson, but you learn how to assess the needs of your students and how much you can challenge them.

You get online support from a very good and professional team who is willing to help you and go the extra mile to make sure you have all the information you need, if they cant answer your questions, they immediately refer you someone who can help you.

The online portion of the course needs discipline but it can be done, it is not particularly difficult as you can easily refer to your class notes. This part of the course will require you to be creative, innovative and use your imagination in order to come up with lesson plan ideas, some have to be completely new and from your mind, but some you can adapt already existing plan and tailor them to fit your students.

You have a year to finish the online portion of the course , with 10 modules, one being an introduction and one being information to help you when applying for a job, with a cover letter template and a cv template. So in total you have 8 academic modules to do, and these modules will help you for actual teaching.

After submitting an assignment, you get a response in a timely manner, with a detailed feedback and a mark, you can at times be advised to resubmit assignments but it will be clearly outlined as to what to add or take or maybe re start it.

As a person with already 1 year 8 weeks of teaching experience prior doing the TEFL course I thought I knew what it takes to effectively teach, but doing the TEFL course has given me a new and different perspective of teaching, I now feel even better prepared and equipped to do my job.

The entire experience was amazing, from the classroom to the online portion and I would, without any hesitation recommend TEFL to anyone who wants to enjoys teaching. Go on, take the course and you will not regret it, this will open so many doors for you and your family.

I found the course useful and engaging throughout. It covered almost all that one would need for their first day as a teacher. The feed back for each module assisted in producing better assignments for other modules and the resources provided were in ample supply. Overall good value for money.

Excellent course which prepares you well for the TEFL working environment. Instructor on weekend course was fabulous- highly engaging, honest and gave constructive feedback at all times. Lesson plan guidance was of a good quality and feedback was given at a record speed particularly referring back to other courses I have done. There is also a practice element to the course and every assessment/activity you do enhances your skills and widens the teaching experience for you. Not too difficult nor demanding yet can most definitely be life changing in the most positive way. Great stuff, learned a lot you should give it a go!

I have just finished the 120 hour TEFL course, I genuinely enjoyed every section of it!

I currently work as a Royal Navy Instructor and this course has assisted me with my job. It has improved my confidence and taught me a great deal.

I highly recommend it!

I believe the tefl course was worthwhile and I learned a lot without being too difficult or demanding. I would recommend it.

The face to face portion of the class was very informative and the teacher was great in providing and demonstrating practical demonstrations that I will be sure to use when I start my new job.

The online portion of the class really is what you make of it. The TEFL academy provide you with basic resources and guidelines but it really is up to yourself to go and research the topics for yourself to get the most out of the course.

I signed up for this course, slightly apprehensive. I anticipated a long 2 days of grammar lessons. How wrong I was! How wrong was I? (we didn’t cover this in the course 🙂

Lynne, who took the course, was an amazing teacher, having attended over 100 courses in my life, I am confident in saying she is by far and away the best course tutor I have ever been taught by.

The face to face course is broken into several sections, each of which encourages you to work with different partners and groups and, whilst fun, makes you realise there are several ways to approaching the challenge. It was refreshing to work with such a wide range of fellow would be TEFLers.

There were several sections where you had to think, it wasn’t an easy 2 days, but it was most certainly fun. At no point did the atmosphere drop, we were always on our toes for the next stage of the course.

I left knowing I was keen to do my online modules, something I have just completed this week.

Something many courses fail to deliver is the follow up, rest assured the admin team are amazing, any query or problem, they are there to support you.

Don’t underestimate the work involved, the 120hrs really is hard and whilst you are unlikely to “fail”, you do not get first time passes in every module, there are times you have to resubmit papers. However it is worth it, I got my first TEFL role within hours of passing the final module!

I am currently working as an English Tutor and took this course to boost my skills and also open other work opportunities. I hadn’t studied for anything since my degree (many years ago!) so was very apprehensive about starting the course. The tutor for the classroom section of the course was extremely warm, friendly and competent and soon put the class at ease as well as leading us effectively through the sessions. It was very useful to actually practice delivering an exercise to the rest of the class before starting the online part of the course. The online modules were clearly laid out with a good level of information to enable to you complete the accompanying tasks. Feedback was quickly delivered and helpful, with positive comments helping to boost my confidence once a module had been completed and marked. As each level was successfully achieved, I therefore felt more positive about tackling the next one. It was great being able to spread the course over a year – I simply didn’t have the time to take 5 weeks off to complete it, but this allowed me to fit my studies around work and family life. The certificate arrived really quickly and I am looking forward to building on my new skill set. The strategies and information covered by the course has already proved extremely useful with my current students and I know will prove invaluable in my future career. I gave a lower mark for the Job Placement aspect of the course as it didn’t set out to provide a job and although they have been really good at forwarding e-mails with potential job opportunities, I haven’t explored any of them, so couldn’t really comment / rate whether they are worthwhile or not.
