I’m so glad I chose this course. As well as having an amazingly competent instructor, the online course was relevant and had a great structure. I’ve found the quality of the jobs and internships on their jobs board to be the best around. I really have nothing to fault, and have learned a lot! Thank you.

The TEFL Academy 120 hour online course is excellent. The 20 hour classroom time prepares you for the online course as well as introduces you to many different aspects of TEFL teaching. My instructor was extremely helpful and very friendly, and delivered the course content in a clear and professional way.

The online course was a lot more extensive than I expected, but it further prepared me to start as a TEFL teacher. The assignments set were reasonable and very varied and feedback was always very useful. The reading for the online course is well presented and the fact that you are not required to buy further supplementary material, such as books, makes the course great value for money.

Overall, I was very pleased with the course and was able to complete the online course at my own pace and from any location! I only wish we could have had more classroom practice during the taught part of the course and a more extensive module on teaching grammar would have been useful. I would definitely recommend TEFL Academy.

The course covers a broad range of teaching topics from classroom management techniques to completing a needs analysis for each class. It has really helped with my confidence in standing up in front of a group of students and beginning a lesson. The weekend practical component of the course provides the opportunity to share ideas, use your creativity and practice teaching skills. I now feel I have the confidence to apply for jobs around the world.

The course also offers the opportunity to develop unique teaching resources for use in the real world. It gives inspiration for lesson ideas and I now feel able to develop successful lesson plans and a scheme of work for students of different abilities and age groups.

I would recommend this course as it is great value for money and you can study at your own pace.

I decided to look for TEFL course to aid a change of employment direction. I live in Hong Kong where there is a huge demand for English tuition. The TEFL Academy provide an easy and flexible introduction, and the cost is very reasonable as well!

So I signed up to take a 100 hr course in Central London whilst I was in the UK on vacation.The course was stimulating and I really enjoyed the two days, in fact I wished it had been longer it was such fun.

The two days were not bogged down with grammar or theory, but gave a very practical insight into what TEFL was all about, and some very practical tips on how to start, the pitfalls to avoid, and where to look for help.

THere was a fascinating group of students on my course, all with very different backgrounds and expectations. That made the group exercises very interesting and gave an international feel to the classes, which would be similar to future teaching situations!

The on line course work which is completed after the two days is delivered on a very stable platform, I did not experience any of the IT problems you often get with on line learning. The course materials were clear, easy to read and any enquiry was answered promptly.

Feedback on my assignments was delivers quickly and in some detail. It was really helpful.

If you are looking for an easy way and affordable way to investigate TEFL, I recommend this course. Even if you do not subsequently teach English, the few basic teaching skills learned in the two days will always be useful.

Tefl academy is extremely useful and very easy to manage. The support provided is extraordenary as the team makes great effords to ensure that students recieve as much support as possible. The information provided for each assignment was very useful and education meaning that i have learned plenty about teaching reading up on the information.

Starting the Tefl course when I was 17, to prepare for a gap year the following year (2015), I was the youngest student to take part in both of the practical and online course. I was anxious that I wouldn’t be able to complete the course due to lack of confidence, education and life skills. However, with the enthusiasm and support I was given from the teacher at the practical 20 hour course in Brighton, along with the clearly laid out materials presented online, I gained much confidence and encouragement to complete the course.

As I was completing the course alongside A levels, I found that I wouldn’t be able to finish all of the modules within the 12 month period. The TEFL academy were understanding of this and gave me an extension of three months to complete the course however I was a little disappointed that I had to pay an extra £50 to do this especially how it was only for the online course.

Over all, now having completed the course, I feel that I can teach a lesson with confidence and clarity especially knowing that I have already produced materials from each module in the TEFL course (for example a six month lesson plan for beginners).

I also very much appreciated the support I am now being given to help find a TEFL job for my gap year and possibly a gap life!

A course I have not regretted taking, thank you TEFL Academy 🙂

The TEFL Academy course is full of content; not only was it a great course for training to be an EFL teacher but it was also a great way to improve my own understanding of the English language. The course is incredibly varied I was always learning and preparing something new.

The TEFL Academy gave me a foundational understanding of the theories and development of EFL teaching over time. I learnt the importance of interactive activities, lesson planning, classroom management, and how Hofstede’s cultural dimensions theory is due consideration when teaching abroad. The 20 hour practical teaching component was a helpful insight of what is to be expected of us as EFL teachers – it was lots of fun too.

The feedback from the submitted modules was always swift; I personally never had to wait longer than three working days, and it was always encouraging, friendly and insightful.

The course materials were very helpful and easy to read; everything was broken down and explained. There were also recommendations of other free and helpful websites that furthered my study.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with the TEFL Academy and would recommend it to someone wishing to train as an EFL teacher.

The whole experience of doing the TEFL Academy course has been an enjoyable experience for me in every way.

Starting with the 20 hour weekend, right through all of the assignments the journey was a good one.

The course materials not only contained all the information to enable me to adequately complete the assignments but they were also rich in context and the history of TEFL.

The feedback I received from the tutors was also very helpful and I have given a five star rating to every category of the TEFL Academy’s criteria list, simply because I have yet to be disappointed in any of their services.

Just before I finished the course, I began teaching individuals but I’ve also been very impressed with the job placement resources that are on offer.

During my time completing the TEFL Academy’s 120 hour course, I feel I became a more competent teacher, building on precious experience and blending this with the modules and feedback from the course. I have become more confident and creative in my teaching methods while paying attention to the small details that create an effective learning environment for students of all ages.

I took the TEFL course in order to travel to china to take up a teaching post, to do this I had to complete the 120 hour TEFL course. I completed the TEFL course with the TEFL academy as they had a very good reputation. I was very impressed with the course, the course tutor was great she provided us with very useful material and provided us with real life examples of how to teach a class. TEFL academy provided me with very helpful information online, the material will definitely help me when Im teaching in a classroom. The online assessments were very helpful they provided me with lots of ideas and examples that can be used in a classroom.
