The 120 hours online TEFL Academy course was really thorough and helpful, reasonably priced and I also got a discount at the time of enrolling which was a nice bonus. With great support and feedback from the tutors and informative notes to help complete assignments I was happy that I chose this course.

I am absolutely delighted with my result. I found the course highly informative and engaging and the support from the TEFL academy was second to none. Would highly recommend the course.

I completed an online 120 hour TEFL course ahead of going to Switzerland to teach English in the summer. I thought the course was excellent. I have previously studied linguistics so most of the topics were familiar to me, but found the content to be well presented and clearly explained. It certainly gives a good introduction to aspects of English and points to be considered when teaching learners. I liked the practice activities – great way to learn about the points that were being presented, and also great ideas for your own lessons! I used the online help system a couple of times, and always received speedy and helpful responses. The course I did was fully online so there wasn’t any opportunity for teaching practice. I would definitely recommend completing a TEFL with The TEFL Academy.

Traveling abroad is something I have always dreamed of doing. After learning about the opportunities available with teaching in foreign countries I began my research into the appropiate courses that were available. The TEFL Academy stood out for me not just because of the affordable prices but through the positive reviews made by other teachers who had completed the course. So on June of 2015 I began the first part of my 120 hour course, I arrived at local location close to me in Belfast where I met other people like myself eager to learn and curious to what we would be doing over the designated weekend.

Together we completed group activities and underwent an intensive 20 hour course over two days. The experience allowed us to break comfort zones and learn alot of valuable information into the world of foreign language teaching.

Once we had finished and received our practical certicates we then had to complete 100 hours of coursework assignments individually and in our own time. The online tutors were very helpful and happy to answer any questions if I was unsure about a particular module.

I feel like choosing to take my journey with TEFL Academy has been a rewarding and life changing experience. It has been one year since I first picked up a TEFL book and I am currenty in China learning something new about myself every day.

I found this course to be great on a number of levels and it really was worthwhile. I felt well supported by the staff and there are lots of resources with relevant information available. In particular, though you are taught a large amount of the content, you are also taught how to acquire research and information yourself so that you can address your own knowledge gaps. This is a must for online training. I wish of course now that I had some practise teaching as I went along, but I was very satisfied with my course and ultimate qualification.

I thoroughly enjoyed completing the 100hr online TEFL course. I had ample time and assistance in completing the program and all feedback was helpful and constructive. Corrections were prompt after submission and there was always somebody at the end of an email to help if needed. I look forward to putting everything I have learned into practise.

Overall a very good course. I found it well structured and, having never taught before, a great introduction to this discipline. The feedback was very useful (even returning my 1st end of module assessment with advice on how to improve it and get the grade I deserved). Likewise the weekend class was informative and very useful for giving some hands on experience. I’m hopeful to travel to Asia in the next few months and start a position as a teacher, so will see how well course has prepared myself soon!

There were a few points I found less than perfect. As it is a new online course, there were a couple of glitches. A few spelling/grammar mistakes (hilariously enough considering the course) and the printable workbooks were sometimes missing information or lacking enough space for answers. I also felt a little bit more could be presented with the timing parts of the lesson as there seems to be a expectation to know how long each segment of a lesson would take… This however I’m sure is something that comes with practice over time.

These are minor complaints though. As a whole the information provided was clear, the support network quick and helpful and I feel I learned a lot from this course. Especially, as a native English speaker, on the mechanics of grammar and it’s rules!!

I cant rate this course highly enough, Ive completed the 120 hours, the 20 hours in the classroom were very interesting and really made me want to take teaching as a career path. I found the online aspect easy to use and extremely useful. The links for course materials and job board are still of great use to me. Overall this has completely changed my career path and cant thank TEFL Academy enough!

I found the online 120 hour TEFL extremely rewarding and engaging on so many levels: the pace, depth, diversity and simultaneous intellectual / practical guidance and input.

I really enjoyed the fact I could work at my own pace because, as a qualified teacher, I could move through some modules at a quicker pace.

I genuinely enjoyed the end of course assignments, as they really made me think about the language abilities and competences of the different groups. Likewise, the detailed and clearly engaged feedback I received from them was much appreciated, as was the immediate ‘marking’ of the online end of module tests.

I’m thrilled to now being able to put it into practice, having been awarded my certificate in April 2016 and now here I am teaching TEFL in Meppel, Holland – and LOVING IT!

Many thanks to all involved in creating this challenging yet hugely rewarding course and for the ongoing support since.
