The course is great because it is easily accessible. I can do a module in my free time and I am not constrained by a timescale. I managed to complete it very quickly. The assessment could be made a lot harder as much of it is common sense and you would not need to look at the teaching to be able to answer the multiple choice. It was quite long in terms of content but fast to work through. Covered everything that I was expecting. Havent looked at the job front yet, but there are a lot of resources for when I decide to. The feedback was also great and very friendly

I found the 120 hour course, everything I was looking for. The intensive 20 hour weekend taught me a lot and I don’t think I would’ve done as well on the assignments without it. Judy, my teacher, was brilliant! She was friendly, helpful and provided us with some great teaching tips. The online course was full of useful information and I received some brilliant feedback that is going to be useful when I actually start teaching.

I finished the course and got a distinction mark on my certificate. I had to work quite hard to get it, but it was very interesting and I always knew what was expected from me. I really appreciate that the course was not too easy, I really learned a lot and I doubt if I could learn all that without the course’s guidance. I do realize that this is only the first step and there’s a lot I still need to learn about teaching, but the course was structured well enough to form a solid foundation. I wish there was more hours of in-class training with an instructor, but considering that it is supposed to be an online course, those 20 hours we got were top quality training and our instructor was an amazing teacher!

As a non teacher ex lawyer I thought the course might be daunting , but it wasn’t and I am delighted to say that I managed to get a Distinction so all in all well done to the Academy ! I was also offered a job teaching this summer only 3 days after my result was confirmed

Very easy to guide my way through the course (done online) and knowing I had the support if needed only an email away was good to know. The feedback I received for my assignments was truthful and personal, and was given back to me within 2 days. The course has helped me in preparing lessons and delivering them to the students I am teaching.

I completed the 120 hour online course which I found very interesting. The content was always engaging and well paced. The online platform is very easy to use and the material is structured in such a way that it does not seem to daunting despite its depth. I am unable to score the Practice Teaching as this area isn’t covered in the online course. Receiving feedback from a qualified teacher was very helpful and I’m now looking forward to teaching myself!

I have just completed the TEFL Academy 120 hours course. I did twenty hours at the weekend course in Bristol and found it enjoyable and challenging. The online course has been very useful and has stretched my knowledge and learning skills. The tutor feedback has been really helpful and encouraging. I feel proud that I have completed the course and keen to learn more. At first the written materials seemed a bit limited but then I began to understand that the course encourages the learner to make use of the internet and find and create resources to teach with. Thank you your course is amazingly cheap and very good value.

I had a really good experience with TEFL Academy. The feedback was prompt, to the point, but also very encouraging. Thankfully I have my TEFL now (with merit) but if I was doing it again or recommending a course to a friend, I’d recommend these guys to do it with. 🙂

I found the 120 hour combined course to be exciting and educational. it was just what I was looking for. I was constantly impressed by the amount i leanrt in each module and how much knowledge I have retained to help me when as I look to start a career as a EFL teacher. The online part of the course was most enjoyable for me as i like that style of learning but I felt the classroom part provided me with a good understanding of how to plan a lesson and gave me the opportunity to practice doing this.

I think that there is alot of interaction as part of the classroom course and really enjoyed this. the first few hours seemed a little slower as it was just the tutor reading line for line from the slides but i understand this is an important part of the session and there may not be any other way to deliver The modules provided a good foundation in course materials and lots of relevant linkus. The feedback on the assignments at the end took only 1-3 days and the comments were really useful and individualised . Overall I would highly recommend the course and would certainly use tefl academy!

I honestly have no complaints about the entire course, from the start in the classroom, to the end when I had to submit the final assignment. We had Liz for the classroom element and I really enjoyed this segment! It was a great warm up and start to the journey, everyone in the class was friendly, making the role play and group activities even more fun and engaging.

I was nervous about the role play element initially, but those feelings of anxiety didn’t last long once we all got started. Liz eased us all into the exercises nicely, and I felt very comfortable standing up in front of the class by the end of the session.

The online part of the course was condensed into bitesize chunks, with the longest module being the grammar module. I took it in small stages to complete the online part alongside working in a full time position – and this was a manageable task.

The final assignments were critiqued constructively, and the encouraging advice I was given has been taken on board – I will keep this with me as I continue on in my journey.

I have started my application process into the EPIK program, as I hope to teach English in South Korea – this would not have been possible without TEFL Academy.
