The classroom learning (20 hours) was brilliant. Not only was it engaging but it was also incredibly interesting and really helped me find my feet in terms of teaching style and ability. The teacher was fantastic, knowledgeable and showed enormous passion for the course which helped instill the same in the students. This aspect of the course also allowed me to meet individuals from all different backgrounds and through interaction with such a broad range of people, my teaching goals and aims changed.

The online aspect was also great and the feedback from the tutors was really helpful in later assignments. I think my university training helped me enormously as my grades were incredibly high so for anyone who has been out of education for a while, I would suggest brushing up on your essay writing to give yourselves the best chance in the assignments!

I now am the proud owner of a DISTINCTION and in my opinion the classroom aspect of this course gave me the push and insight I really needed.

I would recommend this course to anybody wanting to teach abroad or in England and I for one look forward to tutoring English here in the UK!

Overall I am happy with the experience at the TEFL Academy. Thanks to the quality of the resource material I felt that I improved and developed throughout the course. My confidence also grew in being able to conduct a lesson at any level and consequently was able to really challenge myself on the last assignment, where I provided a resource that I could see myself using in a classroom situation. Being so knew at teaching and finding the first lesson plan difficult I never thought that I would have done so well in the end. The feedback I had from the examiners was so encouraging that it made me feel confident going into the subsequent assignments.

The classroom learning (20 hours) really put everything into perspective. The teacher was fantastic, knowledgeable and gave really good advice on how to pursue such a career. I also met wonderful people who told me about their teaching experience’s, challenges and goals. Ultimately, the classroom session’s were really useful for me.

The online assignment’s: At first I sailed through it. However, midway through, I slightly struggled. Ultimately, the tutor’s were really helpful and their feedback really did make a great difference. I passed EVERY single assignment with flying colour’s. Only yesterday did I receive my TEFL certifcate. I achieved a MERIT. I am really pleased with myself and thankful to the TEFL academy. From the offset they have been nothing but helpful. This is now going to open alot of door’s for me. (God willingly)

The weekend course was very instructive and informative, and the London location was easy to find! The course leader taught us using the techniques that we should be using which allowed us to see how they work in practice and therefore will make it easier to implement them in the future. In addition, she was very friendly and helpful.

The online course complemented the weekend well and the fact it could be done whenever you wanted meant that it fitted in with my university studies well. The feedback and support from the online team was constructive and helpful.

I would definitely recommend this course – I have learnt a lot!

The 120 hour TEFL course was extremely useful and provided me with everything I could possibly need to start my English teaching career! Upon completing the course I have been overwhelmed by the opportunities now available to me. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to teach English abroad as I was able to balance completing the course alongside four alevels!

The intensive 20 hour course was enjoyable and stimulating – even though I was exhausted by the end. This, together with the 100 hour on line course, provided helpful information and opportunity to practice a variety of relevant skills. I thought I would complete the assignments quickly, but I realised very soon that to do them properly I needed to put in a lot of work, and I ended up taking the whole year. As a result I feel really steeped in the subject, and well prepared to find teaching practice.

I have not found teaching practice so far. Some of the opportunities are for the younger teacher. However, I’ve been given suggestions and I hope that I will soon be carrying out what I have learned. I really feel that the TEFL Academy has prepared me well for my career change.

I traveled from Germany to London for the Classroom based TEFL and the location was very conveniently located in Central London. The venue was fit for purpose. The Course instructor was motivational, well prepared, competent, optimistic and very encouraging. Liz made me feel very comfortable and positive about the whole experience.

I found the Online part of the course was ideal and well-structured for me because it allowed me to complete the course at my own pace and I easily completed the course over an eight week period. After each Module I received timely meaningful and constructive feedback. I am an experienced teacher (I hold a B.A in English Language and a PGCE in French and Spanish) and the TEFL teaching programme both refreshed my approach to teaching and also presented new insights into different teaching practices.

The TEFL course opened career opportunities that otherwise I would be unable to pursue. I thoroughly recommend the TEFL Course and The TEFL Academy to any teacher wishing to continue an EFL teaching career abroad.

The course was very good value for the price, the teacher on the classroom course was excellent and I made some good friends there, who have stayed in touch. The written assignments were manageable and relevant and feedback was fair, insightful and quick. Overall a good experience and I do feel able to contact the tEFL Academy any time to request extra help.

My overall experience was very positive, in that the TEFL online tutors gave prompt and very encouraging feedback;and it is that feedback that motivated me enough to improve upon my learing to achieve a pass with distinction!!

I am currently applying for TEFL work, and the TEFL Jobs board is qjuite small; and so I am seeking TEFL job vacancies on other TEFL Job recruiting sites.
